Projects CRYSTAL and HoliDes in contract negotiations (October 2012)

The fifth call for projects of the European funding programme ARTEMIS ended in September 2012. After the evaluation of the submitted Full Project Proposals, two projects with significant participation of EICOSE partners are on the list of eligible projects: CRYSTAL (Critical System Engineering Acceleration) and HoliDes (Holistic Human Factors and System Design of Adaptive Cooperative Human-Machine Systems). Currently, the ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking (ARTEMIS JU) and the project partners are in negotiations about funding in consultation with the national authorities. The results of the negotiations will be published soon on the website of the ARTEMIS-JU.

CESAR Platform awards first Tool-Platform-Label of ARTEMIS-IA (October 2012)

The European project CESAR developed a so called Reference Technology Platform (RTP). This RTP has been certified by the ARTEMIS Industry Association (ARTEMIS-IA) and awared the ARTEMIS Tool Platform Label during the ARTEMIS-IA Steering Board meeting at the ARTEMIS/ITEA Co-Summits on Oktober, 30th 2012 in Paris. The CESAR RTP supports the development of safety critical embedded systems in the domains of automotive, aerospace, automation and rail. The coordination activities for the so-called Cooperation RTP are harmonised under the umbrella of EICOSE.

EICOSE accepted as first ARTEMIS Innovation Cluster (March 28, 2007)

Cologne. EICOSE, the European Institute for Complex Safety Critical Systems Engineering, becomes the first ARTEMIS Innovation Cluster. Initially focused on transportation (automotive, aeronautics, space, railways), EICOSE may then in the future extend its scope towards critical applications in other domains (e.g. energy, healthcare). The ARTEMISIA Steering Board adopted the EICOSE proposal in a meeting in Cologne on Jan 31. Due to this step EICOSE accepts the responsibility for the field of processes, methods and tools for complex safety critical systems engineering of the ARTEMIS Strategic Research Agenda (SRA). more...
